Charlotte Country Club Golf Course is a Private 18 hole golf course located located four miles east of uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, in the historic Plaza-Midwood neighborhood.
Charlotte Country Club Golf Course first opened for play in 1910. The course was redesigned by Donald Ross in 1925 and again in 1947. Robert Trent Jones Sr. renovated the course in 1962 and again in 1984. The latest renovation was in 2008 and was done under the direction of Ron Prichard.
The course has been listed in Golfweek's collection of the 100 Best Classic Golf Courses.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,808 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,122 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 558 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 159 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 466 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 335 yard par-4.
